Hey girl! Thanks for the comment on my vocals! (BTW it's Michelle Hawkins) YOU keep your passion, sweetie! You have a very unique, rich, sultry tone to your voice that is absolutely captivating! And it's sometimes tough to get out there and get going with the music career. But don't ever give up, don't ever allow anyone to discourage you or tell you what or how you should do it. Follow your heart!! Good luck getting to California!
I sure hope i win. every morning i get up I ask myself what am i gonna do know to further my career as a musician. I have so much passion for music i feel like i could do something major. I havent had any vocal lessons, thats something i would like to look into if i had the money. It seems like you have to have money to be a musician, unless you just get lucky. I hate that, because in this town , theres no luck. i know that for sure. I think mike is great, and buddy has great energy! i respect them greatly =]
if you dont mind me askin, who are you hahaa?? just wondering!
Keep Smiling =]
Cass
Once you get chosen to be the winner(or if they make a mistakenly make you runner up) you might consider the fact that this is a Music Merchant promotion- a stepping stone- the beginning. A voice with tone and articulation such as yours is better than for competing with the Karaoke
wannabees in this competition. If you can sing Patsy Cline's "Walking" as good as you have, then you can sing "Crazy", and you can sing Janis's "Try" and just about the entire gamut of cover tunes for your style. I watched your vid again but it wasn't until I closed my eyes that I heard what is rare in a singer-you have a natural feel for this art, in your voice. If you memorize 10 songs to perform as a leader singer, you'll get picked up by some great musicians in California ,in a heartbeat.Pretty faces are everywhere and you got that too.But success in music is measure by the talent within.Susan Boyle proved that. Tell you what,Cassie, you can sit in and perform with my group anytime if you're ever in my hood. YOU got talent, girl! There are only two other contestants I feel are worthy that I have mentioned who are your competition, and they're not the "make a song for LP guy" or "Karaokecoversinger333". Raeder and Budd are the pros you're up against. And you're at that level of competition.I look forward to seeing you win.
Everyone else looks really stupid and you look reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good! And I know everyone else is gonna start shit ova this but I DONT CARE because YOU DONT CARE! I love you and I will idolize you when you are famous in california
Saw your request on roo.com. You have a great voice, and i voted! Do you have tumblr? Add me if you do, and i'll reblog your video. alaskanboy.tumblr.com
Since i see others advertising there other videos, i guess i am to. Visite youtube, just type in CassiRaye, I want to win this contest more than anything, im fresh out of high school and my heart and drive are completly devoted to music.I just want this really bad.I live in a crap town, its always been my dream to goto California.
your vocals are right on it,girl! That true gritty blue sound you create will have you in the top 5 for sure! And as I see it I think you could sound great doing Janis tunes too! Good luck and Rock on!
